The company has strict social media rules to protect its reputation, and forbids the posting of any negative comments on any social media site or social work. Apple is not in the wrong because the employee agrees to the companies policy before they are hired. It is immature and unethical to talk negatively about an organization publicly. If one is concerned about a certain policy there are other ways to request an appeal to company terms. "Spreading defamation among co-workers is prohibited." Also, as a Salisbury football player we too encounter these policies. This past season a player was dismissed from the program because of negative remarks on Facebook about the team.

I agree that it was immature of the employee to post negative comments about Apple on Facebook. If there was a problem, the employee should have taken it up with a manager.
ReplyDeleteI really don't understand how someone could post something to a social network and expect it to not get around their workplace.
ReplyDeleteThat being said, just about everybody has had to endure some sort of mild censorship in their education so what makes a workplace any different?
especially with the company telling you of there strict policies on the use of social media then you must not have valued your job at all to post the negative comments on a social site
ReplyDeleteI absolutely agree with. Always there is another way to express your negative thoughts.
ReplyDeleteNo matter how much security you have there is always a way things get out. Even if you just tell one person it will get out. People just needed to be smarter with what they say on the internet.
